2007 Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang looks and feels like an all-American car, and that's a good thing. It's quick and fun to drive and offers combination of style, performance, and handling that's hard to beat for the money.

The Mustang comes in two body styles: coupe and convertible. Each is available with a 210hp 4.0-liter overhead-cam V6 or a 300hp 4.6-liter overhead-cam V8. A five-speed manual transmission is standard; a five-speed automatic optional. Its interior looks like a throwback from the '60s, but it's functional and well finished. Safety features include dual-stage front-impact airbags and three-point belts for all seats. Antilock brakes and traction control are standard on GTs and optional on V6 models. Front passenger side-impact airbags are optional on all models.

The Ford Mustang is a carryover from 2006.

2007 Audi A4

The Audi A4 is a fun and spirited sedan that is competitive within its class. It delivers plenty of power, respectable gas mileage, state-of-the-art sound and Quattro all-wheel drive.

The A4 comes in sedan, wagon (Avanti), and Cabriolet models. The 2.0T engine option comes with a 200-horsepower, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The 3.2 engine option comes with an aluminum 255-hp, 3.1-liter V-6. The S-line trim includes a sport suspension, trunklid lip spoiler, sporty side sills and brushed-aluminum interior trim. The A4 seats 5 and comes standard with leather in 3.2 models.

The 2007 A4 sedan and wagon are carryovers from last year. However, the Cabriolet was redesigned and now has a new single-frame grille, optional 200-hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder or 255-hp 3.2-liter V-6 engines and a suspension that has been tuned to better transmit that power to the road. Safety features have also been improved by integrating side airbags into the front seats and reinforced A-pillars to protect the passengers in a roll over.

2007 BMW 335i

The BMW 335i convertible remains the benchmark for the class, particularly for those who derive satisfaction from the driving experience. These cars are loaded with technical wizardry and by virtually every objective measure these are the best 3 Series convertibles ever.

The 335i convertible features a twin-turbocharged six-cylinder the generates 300 horsepower. It also adds standard equipment, including eight-way power seats with memory, xenon adaptive headlights that turn into a curve with the car, and BMW's 13-speaker Logic 7 stereo, with two subwoofers and surround-style digital sound processing. The 335i's windows and grille slats are trimmed with chrome, while that slats across its lower front air intakes are body colored rather than black.

For 2007, the BMW 335i replaces the 330 model because of the new 300-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder.

2007 Dodge Magnum

The Dodge Magnum is a full-size American station wagon with spacious cargo capacity. But what makes the Magnum special is its hot rod styling and rumbling engines.

The Dodge Magnum is available in four models: SE, SXT, R/T, and SRT8. The SE uses Chrysler's proven 2.7-liter aluminum V6 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes premium cloth interior, a 60/40 split rear seat with center armrest, rack-and-pinion steering, 17-inch wheels and disc brakes. The SXT comes with a 3.5-liter single overhead cam V6 and a five-speed automatic with AutoStick and the option of all-wheel drive. The R/T gets the 5.7-liter V8 Hemi and a five-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick and the option of all-wheel drive. The SRT8 features the 6.1-liter V8 Hemi and a five-speed AutoStick automatic.

For 2007, the Magnum is largely carryover, but with changes to option packages.

2007 Lexus IS 350

The Lexus IS 350 is a true rear-wheel-drive sports sedan. It's quick and fun to drive thanks to its balanced chassis and advanced electronic stability control system.

The IS 350 is propelled with authority, benefitting from a 306-hp 3.5-liter V6. It has VDIM electronic stability control that steps in very early to keep the driver out of trouble. More sophisticated braking and electronic stability systems augment its additional performance. Safety features include driver and front-passenger knee airbags. The brakes are large and effective four-wheel discs, clamped at the front by aluminum four-piston calipers. Augmenting the big brakes have ABS, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and Brake Assist.

New for 2007 is the X-Package a sporty performance package.

2007 Chevrolet Corvette

The Chevrolet Corvette is the best high-performance value in America. The Corvette delivers supercar performance for the price of a midsize luxury sedan.

The Corvette comes in a coupe hatchback or a convertible. Instead of conventional door handles the Corvette features Keyless Access by using the key fob. The Corvette is powered by a 400 hp 6.0-liter LS2 V-8 engine controlled by a six-speed manual gearbox or a paddle-shifted six-speed automatic. The automatic transmission has two electronically controlled automatic modes, Drive and Sport, depending on your driving mood. There is also a high performance model of the Corvette called the Z06. It upgrades the chassis, adds more aggressive styling, and uses a LS7 505 horsepower V-8 to provide peak sports car performance.

For 2007, the Chevrolet Corvette receives an enhanced stereo, small changes in optional packages, and a larger glove compartment.
